Short Bio
SJ Hausmann is a Transformational Artist with the focus on minimizing waste; she views art-making as something that can be done anywhere with many types of tools/supplies. Hausmann enjoys unconventional methods of creating, and challenges herself to fully consume the art-making items and medium... This means sometimes the tools to create the piece will become (a part of) the piece! There's something so satisfying in incorporating leftover supplies, and giving second use or new purpose to old and broken items! #ArtEverywhere #CreateEveryday
Statement
In the last five years, I've been on a more 'therapeutic' journey my artmaking...
I take special interest in exploring layers, textures, and overall color play. The process, (sometimes experimental in nature), affords me the headspace and heart openness to make many metaphoric connections with life. Often the process is as important as the outcome. My methods of creating involve a JUST DO IT, attitude and the idea that the piece undergoes many transformations before being "FINAL"; and even then, evolving artwork means adaptability/creativity and therefore, longevity!
Biography
The main goal of Hausmann's
abstract art is to challenge the viewer to create their story for the piece, based on a
#WhatTheFUNKdoYouSee concept.
She also uses opportunities with orientation and arrangement to provide evolving artwork.
Transformational art is a technique rooted in emotional art making and the metaphoric connection to our ongoing ever-changing journeys to EVOLVE with the life we choose to cultivate;
and an overall beautiful vibe, of creating through chaos.
